Introduction

Please use this section of the website if you wish to know about the correct methods and practices for the creation of digital files that are to be reproduced on a litho-offset printing press and finished in a conventional post-press environment.

This is one of the most critical parts of the production process to consider if your job is to proceed through the production workflow without any unexpected holdups and extra costs.

Important points need to be considered in relation to how a job will print and how it will be finished in the bindery. Special care needs to be taken with any book work for instance, in an ideal world a designer should know if a book is to be saddle stitched or perfect bound before they even start work on the digital artwork. Now we know that in the real world this isn't always possible but with our help we can alleviate as many problems as possible and guide you to work in the correct way so that you can be confident we will print and finish your job to the highest possible standard and within budget.
