Native Artwork

Where possible, native artwork should be supplied so that we can adjust any files and make changes to ensure the job will print and finish properly. We can accept files that have been created in the following applications:

Adobe InDesign CS - CS5

QuarkXPress: Versions 4, 5, 6 & 7

Adobe Illustrator 8, 9, 10 & CS+

Freehand 9, 10 & MX

Any artwork supplied in software other than these applications e.g. Microsoft Office could result in extra repro costs and time. The following points need to be considered when preparing your files.

  • All Screen and Printer fonts must be supplied.
  • Include bleed where required (minimum 3mm).
  • Include any fold or crease marks.
  • Use spreads where necessary. Never use a single page to create a 2pp spread.
  • All images and links used in the artwork must be supplied.
  • Any spot varnish data must be separated as a spot colour and if possible be on a separate layer.
  • Include only the colours that are to be used when printing. If the job is to print CMYK then any spot colours used should be converted to process, this includes any linked images such as vector logos.
