Newstyle gains Environment Certification

Newstyle Printing officially has become ISO 14001:2004 certified as of January 20th 2010.

For over 5 years, Newstyle have been 100% dedicated to being an environmentally responsible and sustainable business to compliment its commitment to quality excellence. However it wasn’t until 2009 that Newstyle decided to show just how serious they were by committing to full ISO 14001 certification through SAI Global.

The comprehensive recycling programs in place were not enough to show that full commitment.

‘ISO accreditation helps stamp our corporate and social beliefs in striving towards worlds best practice in environmental management’ stated Newstyle Printings Business Systems Manager Rick Dowsett. ‘It is so much easier when not only the Managing Director, Ian Richards is 100% behind the system, but everyone within the whole business is behind it as well,’ Rick explained.

Environmental accreditation benefits everyone and makes good business sense. With increased focus on global environmental issues, many government departments, local councils, businesses and individuals are seeking certified suppliers for their business needs.

Newstyle Printing is one of only a few environmentally accredited printing
companies in South Australia and also has a Sydney based office.

Recent PEFC accreditation will support existing FSC accreditation

Newstyle Printing has recently become PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) accredited after our December audit got the big tick of approval.

PEFC are an international certification body that ensures paper stocks bearing their logo, promotes sustainably managed forests. This is where forestry practices will not cause any ecological, social or economic damage.

After the rigorous certification process, Newstyle finally received the good news from certification body, Soil Association Woodmark in the United Kingdom.

PEFC certification will compliment Newstyle Printing’s FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) accreditation of which they have held for the past two years.
